Top 10 ranking guarantee issue?

I was giving top 10 ranking guarantee on search engine like google, some days back but now it is really very tough to give any guarantee to customers due to the dances and the changing systems. I have stopped giving top 10 guarantee but yes I give satisfaction guarantee for top ranking.

I welcome your comments and suggestions in this regards.

The best SEO's are not required to make such offers due to their reputations. In addition many of the SEOs who make such offers due so in bad faith.

I only know this because just over a year ago I bought the services from one of these guys. He was full of crap and he knew it. He had me change filenames...told me to insert this invisible text here and there...built absolutely no linking campaign for me...he told me to duplicate some of my pages and change the filepaths...and then he tried to congratulate me for giving me rankings for terms nobody searches for.

I also have had many people contact me with horror stories. I would say that in general the honest person who uses guaranteed top ten ranking as their sales line is by far the exception vice the rule.

I'd rather say "Traffic Guarantee". You can always use alternative and less competttive keyword to generate the same amount of targeted traffic.

So... if I'm a company and I come to you with my money.
I want you to bring visitors to my site.
you take my money, and deliver nothing.
Then why should I pay for SEO.

Promising the world is wrong, but a smart buyer does not want to give you thousands on reputation alone. You need to provide a service.

What I do is create a budget aimed at my performance. The more I perform the more I get paid.

I provide 3 or 4 methods of generating targeted traffic to their site. (This is legit stuff not computer generated traffic "does nothing for them") As I SEO the site I can start to remove those alternative methods. I make more money and the quality of my results show up.

Do I guarentee top 10 YES! only for keywords vs. pricing. How do you think large sites get in the top ten? With lots of money (paying for advertising radio, commercail, links, not buying ranking) So if they pay you enough they should get their results.

I usaully offer 10 keywords and promise 2 of them in the top 10 of the top 3 Search Engines.

Traffic Guarentee is also correct. That is really what they want right?

If you can create an asset for them then price will not matter.

So here is my advice.
Offer a set amount of visitors that you will promiss per month.
If they want a garentee promise 2 out of 10 keywords in the top ten.
For any of the top 3 sites.
This gives you a 1 in 15 chance to perform.
Keep in mind though that your agreement must allow ample time for quality work such as 6 months. Also make sure to give yourself wiggle room for changing algo's. (You are being paid for this. Not for making their site SEO ready. People want results.)

In Short
Promissing Everything (top 10) is wrong yes
Promissing Nothing is even worse.
Promiss Something..traffic, sales, exposure anything works

I like the way you think. Performance based compensation, for somebody good, is the most lucrative and fairest to all involved.

Exclamation Stop giving top 10 guarantee

How about looking at things this way:
  • A Inc. is a SEO Company providing top 10 guarantee
  • B Inc. is also an SEO Company providing top 10 guarantee
They start working together (independently...without each others information).
So...who wins?
As it is obvious there are 100s of companies (not just A & B Inc.) offering "guranteed top 10" listing.
I wonder...if 100 companies start promising top 10...only 10 company will eventually be able to do so. Where goes the rest 90 names?

That is why I am against such promises (towards guranteed placement).
I also promise higher traffic...better & improved positioning...improved site accepability...promotion. But listing in top 10...NOPE!

Regards
WC
