To use included files or not?
I have a database driven site using .asp and my meta tags are in an included file, what is the best way to use meta tags on my pages?
Should I do away with the included meta.asp file and manually put in my tags/titles/desciption etc on each page? Or should I optimise my included meta file? Or use both methods(woulds this be spamming?) Ideas welcome :-? Regards Glenn |

I also use includes but only for the common terms that I want ranked on every page, but I also optimize page keywords to topic.
So its like this <meta name="keywords" content="pagekeyword1,pagekeyword2,<!--#include file='keywords.inc'-->"> |

Thanks for posting that Mary...
I've been doing lots of find and replace work to experiment with different keywords - your method would be waaayyyy easier. Next time I do a rebuild..... |

No problem, glad to give back. It definitely helps if you plan and do this up front.

I use includes for my navigation and also for the special sale items on my site - just never occurred to me that it would be useful for keyword experimentation.
