Are there a 'SEO Campaign' and 'SEO Checklists' anywhere?

    I'm looking for:

    - SEO Campaign
    and
    - SEO Checklist

    documents or web pages

I've done lots of reading on SEO and consider myself an expert
(Well, actually, I haven't launched any websites yet - and haven't put into practice anything learned - so maybe not quite an expert yet!)

The problem is that I forget something I know I need to do!

So a simple SEO Campaign document might include:

    - Search for relevant forums where you can post to and include signature
    - Write articles and submit to www.abcd.com
    - Register on DMOZ and Yahoo
    - Register with google

    - Make sure your website has a sitemap

    etc.

    I'm sure you understand!!

A check list in effect is the same as an SEO campaign (according to my definition at least!) - but for different websites, some specific steps would be different - where as an seo checklist would include fundamentals that apply to ANY website launch

QUESTION: are there any books that discuss an entire campaign and detail every step that was done?

    Any advice would be appreciated

    Thanks

    OM

    SEO check-list

    Hi,
There is no specific check-list as such however, you can have an audit through webmaster and come with the drawbacks and solutions.

You are going to have a difficult time with this profession if after a bit of reading you are considering yourself close to expert status.

I have been doing this for 14 years and I am not an expert.

Here's the truth: You know nothing of any value.
Here's the flip side: You have a willingness to learn and grow and after about 2-5 thousand hours of applying your research you will have basic marketable skills.

The checklist you use will be one that you create. Mine is a living document with over 140 elements of SEO that are applied as needed. It changes every week.

Rip up that checklist as none of the things you mentioned serve any purpose whatsoever, add to a new checklist:

    1. Read SEOchat posts everyday, especially the high rep members.
    2. Don't refer to myself as an expert
    3. Start testing SEO theories learnt with a new website/domain of your own. NOT A CLIENTS!
    4. Bin forum spamming, general directories, article dirs, blog commenting from future SEO tasks as they are crap!
    5. Learn about linkbait and creating quality content that attracts links naturally
    etc.
