Spiders Crawl <a href="site"><img src=image.gif></a>
Do They Not? Is is treated as backlink? Never seen one using the link: check though? shrug.
I want to use a graphic as a navigation link to a subpage. Not interested in anchor text to subpage. In fact do not want the text as it will dilute the main page. Anyone use this scheme? |

Yes they crawl this. What you can do to create higher keyword density is to use the ALT and TITLE tags in your image linking. Ex:
<a href="site" title="keyword"><img src=image.gif alt=keyword></a> I have seen several backlinks that were a result of image links. |
