Site Off The Radar Again

For the last year my site has been going up and down on google like a yo-yo. 5 months a go I decided to leave it and then 1 month ago it came back up to the top of the search engines - I then worked on backlinks and got a serios amount of them, most do-follow. I get up this morning and its gone off the radar again. The site is www . secretireland.blogspot . com - what is the story with it? why would it be doing this? how can I stop this or should I just let it go?

If your links came in thick and fat then google may see this as spamming.

Also where are the link from. You might find that if are getting links from non releted sites then that could be no good.

That will expclain the drop in your rankings.

OR it could just be google adjusting the rankings. the trick is wait and see. If it goes on longer than a couple of week then perhaps start to worry.

It Keeps Doing The Same Cycle

The thing that confuses me is that it comes up the rankings for a few weeks and then drops off for a month or two, very suddenly. The last time I just gave up on it but it comes up again. I have put a load of work into it (Over 1000 posts) and it is a good site. Anyway, it is very confusing...I am just going to leave it and see what happens.

It does sound confusing. The Yo yo might be the changing content what the keyword that you are after. Perhaps the blog site changes and thus the ranking change.

No offence but you post 8 times on this forum looking for the same info on each occasion.

The folks will on help you out if you show a bit of intrest and participate in the forums.

Would you give up your time, knowledge, resources, and experience to a stranger or for free?

Have you considered your blog is a bit boring, un-original, and offensive?

Here are some "quality" quotes from your site,

"Do not ask anyone for directions during your walk around Dublin. Anyone approaching you who looks like a leprechaun, is more than likely a Heroine Addict."

"When visiting your long-lost relatives, bring them a bottle of whiskey, a packet of biscuits and leave after 30 minutes."

"If you happen to be a German tourist, do not wear a Swastika."

Also threads about enya, countless dating threads, etc aren't really that intresting

And if your going to talk about Irish History get your facts right please.

By the way I am Irish!!!

Ok fair enough on everyone. Looking thou the site you might find that you get a lot of social bookmarks. As you offend the next group people take you off others add you. This might be the reason for the yo yo of your site.

Plus dude that is one big block of text going on. On photos, no videos. At the very least mix it up give people the chance to do something other than read your views on the world
