Site No Longer Found on Google

You've probably gone over this question a number of times, but searching the previous posts, I can't find it.

My problem is:
I submitted my site to Google (among other SE's), and depending on two different keywords, the site I built was #3 on page 1, and with the other KW, was #1 on page 1. This was a month ago.

I noticed also, that the site was away down on page 6, unless I was on the site, working on it, giving activity on the site, then it jumped back up to page one again.
Now, no matter how much I am active on the site, it's nowhere to be found on Google.

What happened? And how can I get the site back up again on Google??

Help, please?

Now it just seems that no matter how much activity that I give the site, it's not found on Google. I re-submitted it, to no avail.
Part of the problem is the old website links are still there from newspaper, magazine articles, online articles, referrals from related websites, etc.

I've submitted it to other related sites as an affiliate also, and can only see in time that once traffic finds this new website, they'll come here.

Any ideas on why the site disppeared from Google in the past month, tho?

It's on a groups.msn.com site.

Thank you for any help.
