Seriously high impressions, low clicks - advice
My site has over 4000 impressions in google each day but only 200 clicks, have some really high ranking keywords sitting top 3 in the rankings for my niche, tried changing the title and description on the homepage a few times but to no avail, any ideas?

First of all, 200 clicks is not a bad number.
Write persuasive meta title and meta description for your site. Apply rich snippets markup to your website if you do not have one already. Do this in not just your home page but also the most popular inner pages.
Do you have Google authorship activated? If not please do that, such that a human picture (site owner or author in case of blogs) appears near a search snippet, thus gathering a little more attention to your site's search snippet.
Let me know what your current meta title and meta description on your home page?

4000 impression and 200 clicks results in 20 percent click rate which is not so bad. I have tried many things too, but to catch the eye of the users to increase the click through rates is to add meta descriptions the way the users wants. I am not sure exactly. But it would work long far better.
