SEO'd all day, what next?
Hello, new to this forum! Anyway, for the last two months I have been working the summer job as an SEO and I have done just about everything I can think of. I cleaned up all the pages, used headers, alt tags, bold tags, and all that good stuff. All I have done has yeilded almost double the amount of hits from Google, Yay! But now that its over... I've done all I know how to do, what can I do next? I've read just about every SEO tutorial, constantly read these forums, and in the last month I have visted just about ever website even closeley related to mine to ask for links (I got about 70 good ones).
My boss is pleased with my work... but now I just sit around trying to find the occasional link and I'm sure they are gonna realize pretty soon that I am probably not worth it anymore. Is there anything I can do to continue seeming important? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

JonR28,
You should begin building reports on your sites's positionings in the SEs. Then based on the reports, traffic and orders/phone calls you should play with the keywords to drive more targeted traffic. If you have questions, please PM me. |

Thanks but I think my boss is starting to get bored with my reports... lol, it's okay, I discovered that they have other work for me to do... such as correcting thousands of DNS entries. Well let me know if there is anything else you all can suggest.

You need to talk with the boss about getting different merchandise lines onto the website.... building content pages to build your PR... going after fresh kills for the company.
You didn't tell us where your site ranks... are you #1 or #30.... If you are not at top SERPs then your boss does not really know what a flood of business that could bring - and if you can do that then your boss just might get nervous that you will be running the show one day soon. |

We are about #5 in our main keywords, but behind non-competitor sites mostly. We add fresh content all the time, tons of articles and resources and such. I'm still searching for regular links now. My boss let me write how many links I've gotten in big red dry-erase marker on the board in the upstairs lobby. I feel special.

Tell the boss to give you a raise and give you a new title of online marketing manager or Google have said they'll drop them from their index completely.

lol, I'm much to modest for that, my red marker in the lobby is enough to keep me happy. They let me have AIM and Winamp at work and give me free soda, awesome place to work, which is why I wanna get our page to #1, then I'll ask for a raise.
