I have a similar Question:
I own a company website which is www.mycompany.co.uk and .com I have just purchased 4 extra domain names which are www.keyword1.com www.keyword2.com www.keyword3.com www.keyword4.com What I intend to do is build these 4 extra sites, with the same site as www.mycompany.co.uk and point them to www.mycompany.co.uk What is the best way to do this, and does anyone think Im wasting my time? An alternative idea is to create 4 news sites for the domains and target those phrases, them have a redirect to www.mycompany.co.uk I belive this should increase my traffic and linking structure? Any advise would be great, I have just purchased 10 domains and dont know what to do with them! D |

Quote:
Each site should have its own unique IP or at least the class C block: xxx.xxx.YYY.xxx (the three y's represent the class ce block) should be different. Also, don't link the homepages of all your site together, instead each site created it like this: Homepage->sitemap->internat pages->out going links to homepage of main site. So each homepage should actually have only a link to the sitemap, the sitemap should link to all your internal pages and these internal pages should all send a link to the homepage of your main site. cheers, ROMINO |

I understand the bit about the ip address that makes sense.
however what Im trying to acheive is to setup a redirect page with the domains I have just purchased (so effective 5 new sites, all on different IPs if need be), so that I can really use heavy on the page techniques for the spiders (content), however redirect them to my main comany site....Am I making sense? Please has any one done this before? I see alot of people do it, Im just not to sure on the way to do it. Thanks D |
