SEO and Regional Optimization

Does your website sport a Contact Us page?

Do you promote on this page all of your contact information such as:

Phone, Fax, Toll Free, email, mailing, and physical location(s)?

Does this page rank high in search results?

Regional search queries are often typed in by searchers e.g. blue widgets london uk however, if your only page that indicates physical country, state/province, city, town or village is the Contact Us page... you are most likely missing out on 100's of potential buyers.

This is especially true for tourism vendors since the customer must ship themselves to the product their query are usually regionally based.

Contact information must be on every single web page... it makes perfect sense for website usability where a question arises about your information on a product or service. In addition, the volume of missed visitation can be sizable even if only one person per page topic queries and finds you (because they used a regional term). A page optimized for "blue widgets" and ranked well may not be optimized for "blue widgets london uk" since london uk is no where on the page - and the contact page is unlikely to contain high relevancy to your generic (non-specific) keywords or keyphrases.

I would just add you dont need full contact information on each page. A simple small copyright nitice is great for adding your town or area. Usually a small line of text in your footer such as I have done with "© ABAKUS Internet Marketing - Hannover, Germany"

This means I get to be at the top for terms like "Internet Marketing Hannover".
Many keywords are searched for in combination with towns or areas. Fit them into a copyright notice if you can.

Neat comment. I'm going to go back to my site and take a look at each page. We get many questions about different points. My guess is it would be helpful to have a way for the viewer to engage us immediately by phone or email.

Very cool idea.
