Books will be outdated by the time they are printed . Try this link and download the file from Chenjacob http://www.seochat.com/viewtopic.php?t=1475&start=0

Here's a book I've just finished reading -- full of excellent tips and info -- concentrating on seo for Google. It's called "Microsite Miracles" at:

The problem with books and ebooks is that by the tijme they are written and published the content is often ou tof date. Some try and cover basics whicvh never change but these are of no value as they are well known anyway. I think subscribing to some of the professional newsletters such as I-Search and search engine watch as well as other free newsletters is the way to go.
For what works _today_ follow SEO related forums, especially SEOChat :-) Having said that, there may well be an exception with regards to a Planet Ocean publication. Pandia have given it a good review and its one I'm planning on purchasing myself soon. Check out http://www.pandia.com/store/se-promotion.html Whether that is a completely inpartial review I'm not so sure. It looks paid for to me but there ya go. It is however probably the best out there as I have heard other good reviews about it. The $97 is probably worth it if you are real a real keen / professional SEO. |

1. Planet Ocean is well regarded and thorough ... has a long record of constant updates, but it's $97.
2. Microsite Miracles is more specialized -- especially for one page sites, it may not be what you need. 3. One good place to start is with the free material at http://www.selfpromotion.com/ . In conjunction with the specifics learned here at SEOchat you'll get most of the way for any normal (not ultra competitive) site. |

I can see why books are obsolete so soon. Even some of the information discussed here seems to be obsolete by the next dance.

Hey!
I don't really agree about SEO books being out of date as soon as they're published, of course it depends whats in them. I you wrote a book that only focuses on improving link popularity and page rank by contacting webmasters for link exchanges or giving them the rights to publish your articles on their site, then it wouldn't be out of date for a long time! -Jon |
