It is important when looking at your own logs that the words at the top of the kw list that people have found you for, may not be the words that are most searched for, they are just the ones YOU are found for because your page is better optimised for them

It is good to use these as a guide and then use something like wordtracker to see where these fit into the whole spectrum of phrases and words being used for searches.

This can lead to some good terms that are being searched for that are a bit less competitive but can give as much traffic.

it may be more of a non-us term.

First timers think webmasters are responsible for getting a site to the top. They don't realize that a webmaster and an SEO are sometimes two different people.

Hi Relaxzoolander, in answer to your 1st question. I am based in South Africa. My own website only targets South africa. My core business is targetting Dollar (US), Pound and Euro markets individually with the management of 6 online casino sites.

Most people in South Africa search for kw's like webmaster, webdesign etc. all spelled with one word. Maybe we need some spelling lessons over here!? Since I started targetting spelling errors I had a good increase in traffic as well.

What you say about "free search engine submissions" and related kw's is true. About a year ago I started targetting that as well and it did bring me some good traffic. Since then I have removed my SE submission tool so I fell of the wagon.
