    SEO Friendly Domain Names?

    Hi all,

Is there still a SEO score we can put on domain names at all?

I ask as somebody approached me offering me a service that included them finding for me:-

    "Seo Friendly Domain Names"

Is there still such a thing? I know good URL structure helps in your SEO but bit hesitant on SEO Friendly Domain Names.

EMD's were ruled out some time back I thought???

If I am wrong is there anywhere when I can score a domain name for SEO?

    Thanks in advance Jason

No such thing really... A good domain name could improve CTR, trust... apparently there's A SLIGHT positive for ranking the specific keyword through having an EMD but it's that's small of an advantage it's probably better to just buy something brandable to make your own.

I mean, if I wanted to rank an insurance website, insurance.com would be worth tens of millions. Yet, I'd be so hard to find because if anybody searched for insurance my competitors would just come up.

Insura.com, InsuranceNinjas.com etc would be brandable, and i'd be found by customers trying to find me. I'd personally never take the EMD route.

Any domain name is fine, even EMD it's not about the domain name but about the site structure and content. I personally wouldn't worry too much about the domain name and worry more about how the domain
    was previously used.

any domain name is fine. But what I care is, small domain names which is really easy to understand and must be meaning full. That's all

SEO friendly domain names are one of the factors for ranking. Always content on your website is important than SEO friendly domain. I am not completely avoiding this method. If you selected an SEO friendly website that's good.

There's no such thing as an "SEO friendly" anything.

Unless it's a bar offering favourable services to those in the industry.
