Reporting Tool?
Hey guys,
I am currently using a certain software suite to track all of my search engine rankings, but it is not very good at generating the kind of reports I need to show my customers. I have looked around, and there are reporting tools like the one I use, there is Urchin, and there are some shareware ones also, but I wanted to get your opinions on what you think the best seo reporting tool is. Urchin looks nice, but it seems to focus more on conversion and website traffic statistics, which is well and good, but for now I just want to create reports on how well my customers SEO campaign is doing. I appreciate any information you guys can give me. Thanks, Charles King |

We find that the best results are from on page java scripted tracking / cookie based tracking tools. This ensures proper visitor control and on site tracking. Plus it also is the best way to show referrals and off site clicks.
Urchin offers this server for its tracking software and if you add this along with your current log file tracking you'll get the best results. There are also many other programs like this available, they can be local or 3rd party hosted and range from free for limited tracking to $100’s for the type of detailed traffic you can get by using your urchin system on a busy site. |
