Google rolls out updates all the time and while most the time these changes might not affect your site but in some cases it might cause fluctuation in the ranking. Just a few weeks ago they launched some updates which affect some websites which including my own sites, i have been trying to determine the cause of the issue because while some of my sites are affected, the other are not. But from my general deduction, most of the sites which dropped in ranking are new websites with only a few months old (less than 6 months) and have a small number of backlinks.
Back to the topic, we cannot determine what is the problem with your site unless you provide more information.
On 17 January 2013 google made an update active, that effects the rankings of most of the websites. Check the work strategy you were using, does it have any grievance practices. If it had then work on that meanwhile your keywords would get back to previous positions.
I have some websites that have suffered significant changes since January 28. I hope this google dance will end soon.
The best thing here is to track your traffic or keywords that dropped off, find the date when that happened through Google Analytics or any other analytics you are using, and cross check it with the updates google has in the past few weeks the best place for this information is to go ahead at Search Engine Land's blog.
Once you found out what hit the site, then you would be able to have a clear picture of what to do about it now!
Good luck

I have a same problem.
A lot of possible causes may have caused your keywords are dancing in the SERPs. Google Panda, Penguin, EMD, etc. updates, server/site went down, onpage/content changes, competition (other competing sites out-SEOed you), etc. Give us an idea of how old your site has been up, and recent changes or your actual domain (just don't hyperlink it) so we get a better picture.
