Proper Redirect

Ok, I have searched and read alot of what has been said about redirects on this forum but I would like to make sure I have it perfectly clear.

Right now I have:

losangelesredshirtsforsale.com
(main hosted acount)

losangelesblueshirts.com
(sub-domain)

populargreenshirtslosangeles.com
(sub-domain)

lasvegasqualitygreenshirts.com
(sub-domain)

2 months ago each of these sites had 6 html pages. Then I switched 3 of them to be php extensions (just deleted with no redirects since I had no backlinks to them) so that I now have 3 html and 3 php pages for each site.

Thanks to this forums advise I'm now jumping ship and going to host everything under one account and in sub-folders.

So I need to redirect:

(main hosted acount)
losangelesredshirtsforsale.com
to
tshirts.com/losangeles/redshirts/

(sub-domain)
losangelesblueshirts.com
to
tshirts.com/losangeles/blueshirts/

(sub-domain)
populargreenshirtslosangeles.com
to
tshirts.com/losangeles/greenshirts/

(sub-domain)
lasvegasqualitygreenshirts.com
to
tshirts.com/lasvegas/greenshirts/

Now the pages and sites will be exactly the same at the moments as I'm just transferring the folders basically that contain everything.

So from what I gather on the forum it's best to redirect each page one by one and not 1 single entire domain transfer right?

Are my old html pages that I switched to php gonna be a problem since google still lists them as missing urls even though I changed the sitemaps and have no backlinks?

What do I do if I decide to completely remove a page from each of these sites after I do all the redirects?

I've worked especially hard on one of these sites for SEO and it's doing semi-decent for a start. Will any of this automatically bleed through to the new site after I do a redirect?

Bonus points - I have facebook sharing of pages and some of them have been shared quite a bit. Will facebook pickup on the redirect or whatever and keep my current share count or is that history?

Thanks!

Your question confuses me, sorry, are you sure you know what a subdomain is?

ha, ha, ha. No, I'm not sure of anything unfortunately : (

I originally had losangelesredshirtsforsale.com

MacHighway hosting allows me to have up to 10 subdomains under this hosting account.

So to create a sub domain I just purchase a new domain name that sounds good like losangelesblueshirts.com under my account for example. Then in my control panel I was told to go to the "add-on domain" area where it states:

Quote:
Addon Domains - An addon domain allows you to reach a sub-domain when entering the name of the addon domain into a browser. This means that you can host additional domains from your account, if allowed by your hosting provider. Addon Domains Subdomains are relative to your account's home directory.

Then I enter my new domain name that I purchased, subdomain/ftp username, document root, password, and then click the add domain button.

At that point I can go to my ftp uploader for my original hosted account losangelesredshirtsforsale.com and there is a new folder (which I'm told is a subdomain) called losangelesblueshirts.com. That's where I put the site I created for this new domain and have uploaded sitemaps, verification files, etc.

So hopefully that's all correct?

Now, as spoke of in another thread I've decided to purchase a separate hosting account and domain name that will encompass ALL of these sites for different cities via folders for each city and type of shirt (not really shirts) rather then doing this "domain add/sub" thing.

Now that I've done this I need to transfer my existing sites to this format and redirect my site visitors to the appropriate pages as well as try to recreate or maintain my SEO.

Then all this mess will be over and I can begin focusing solely on this one sites SEO and adding cities rather then a million different ones.

Does this help? And too clarrify also I have 3 supposed sub domains now with 1 master account. I'd like to have Zero sub domains and 1 master account.

Thanks and sorry if I'm confusing. I'm stating it as clearly as I can. Please let me know if I'm still not making sense as I'd really like to get this finished today or tomorrow and at the moment I'm just starring at my screen going "uhhhhhh" : (

Thanks. A subdomain is used to divide up a domain without purchasing a new domain. I use sub-domains to separate content that is not relevant to my main site. For example. sports.sprint.com.

I believe You are simply purchasing new domains and attempting to build cheap little sites hoping the strength of using the keyword in the domain will get you traffic.

If this is indeed the case and you are asking if this is a good idea, the answer is no. It's a bad idea and against Google's TOU. You may get a short term benefit, but eventually it will fail. Forgive me if I answered the wrong question. Please try and ask your question in one or 2 concise sentences.

Originally I tried to purchase these domain names and sub sites in hopes that it would "help" with getting traffic to each city. Then I learned the names was a bad idea and a pain in the butt to deal with. Plus it's confusing because I'm offering true content and random domains are impossible to brand.

So, now I'm starting over with a fresh domain (name of the actual business) and fresh account.

The actual content of each one of my sites is absolutely pure. Now I want to transfer ALL of my sites to this one new master account and simply have a different folder for each city (because I offer directory listings for each city I create).

What I want is to redirect my visitors so that if they click on a link to my old site, it redirects them to my new sites matching page/link.

I understand. Yes, redirecting the old domains is ok. Your new file structure should look like this: www.mymainsite.com/atlantalongsleeveshirts.html
www.mymainsite.com/buffalodressshirts.html and so on.

If you decide to run a promotion or have other unrelated content on your site, you can build a sub-domain which would look like this: winanewcar.mymainsite.com

For multiple reasons they are actually gonna have to be folders for each city and style. Pretty similar to how this is:

mywedding.com/santarosa/flowers
(an actual site)

but I'd have

mywedding.com/santarosa/flowers/dealers.html
mywedding.com/santarosa/flowers/growers.html
mywedding.com/santarosa/flowers/hobby.html

or something...

So my actual question is :
Is it best for me to redirect:

santarosaweddingflowers.com/dealers.html
to
mywedding.com/santarosa/flowers/dealers.html

Individually, html for html file or am I supposed to just forward the domain:

santarosaweddingflowers.com
to
mywedding.com/santarosa/flowers/

THEN if I do them individually like I'm guessing you guys will tell me too.... What happens if I delete one of the files completely? So that if somebody clicks on an old link like santarosaweddingflowers.com/dealers.html and it is being redirected to a page I deleted. Will it screw everything up? Or if I delete a page do I just redirect it again to a homepage or something?

Thanks! Sorry it's not 2 sentences but I don't know how else to explain it shorter : (
