PR1 but no signs in google or yahoo

I have a problem if someone can help me. I have this website www.toursofrome.com
and i reached PR1 with the help of another website. I have no clue why after 5 months
the site is still not in top 100 in google or at least yahoo or msn. My goal is to get it in
the first pages in google so the rest is not that important. I will apreciate any advice.Thx.

I supose you're targetting "tours of rome".
First of all try to see how many times those keywords are searched every day to see if there worth to target them. I didn't check "tours of rome" but I supose it is a good keyword. Check it on www digitalpoint com/tools/sugestion/

Indeed one of the keywords is tours of rome but even so google indexed only one page. My question is why i got indexed only one page and how come some other websites that use keyword spaming and illegal stuff are in the first pages.Other keywords are rome tours
tours rome
rome sightseeing
sightseeing rome
walking tours rome
walking tour rome
bus tour rome
bus tours rome
accommodation rome
lodging romeand i even used web position gold to optimise it. For now i don't know what to say but i could use a good advice. Thx!!!

the reason is spider is unable to see other pages like

because u have given link from image only ..
give some text link to internal pages from home page ...

I am sorry but this can't be true! I have personally tried it before! PR5 main page, with only image links to internal pages, all the internal pages reached PR4 without any other links from anywhere else!

Using images for links is silly anyway, if for no other reason than lack of accessibility. Unless of course, you have nice descriptive alts.....

So i should try to get rid of image links and replace with text links ?

And about submitting the other links on my website, is it recomended because i heard that is not good in google to do that.

You dn't need to get rid of the images, you can just add the text lnik navigation on another part of the page, like the footer. I do that with a site of mine.

Those rollover effects can easily be made without using images. If you absolutely wan't to use images you can, but have text-links in front of the images. No javascript, just pure CSS-rollovers. I have done this on several websites.

I doubt it. There are 1 page sites that do well in Google. If you think your site needs more content, find some solid content to make it bigger, but don't make pages just to have pages.
