positions going up, traffic going down

I recently took over full responsibility of SEO for my company, back in January. Since then I have increased the rankings of nearly all of our targeted keywords (Around 35) But traffic doesnt seem to be increased, and if anything is is going down slightly. What could be the reasons for this?

Rankings and actually driving traffic are two different things. Are your meta titles/descriptions drawing people in? If they're not then you could be position 1 and have no clicks.

Look at who is advertising, is their ad text compelling? If they are running a great promo it could impact organic. Also consider traffic patterns. Are you looking at it year over year?

Check Search Console for Impressions to see if they're going up along with rankings. Is there anything seasonal about your keyword set?

Quite a few factors to consider here:-

    1. An increase in rank from 225 to 150 is also technically an increase but it won't have any significant impact (or any for that matter) on your traffic.

    2. Google shows search results based on a users search history and online behavior (interests), make sure you're logged out of your Google account and using a different browser while checking ranks. You can use the plugin SEO Global to check your ranks across regional google SERPs

    3. The keywords you're ranking for, do they have significant search volume?

    4. Are the keywords seasonal in nature?

    5. Are your <TITLE> elements optimized to entice user clicks?

You could also be monitoring the wrong keywords, the ones your watching could be bringing you little or no traffic but the ones that did have dropped.
I am not saying that is the case here but its something to consider.

Further to the brilliant advice given above you must also segment your traffic. You say you have less visitors but is that direct visitors, organic search visitors or visitors from Pakistan? Your organic search traffic could be WAY up but overall traffic way down. You won't know unless you break your traffic down by source.
