Pls Rank the Following Internet Marketing Techniques

How do you rank the following free Internet marketing techniques according to efficiency in getting steady traffic to a website selling infoproducts? Something like ranking them from 1 to 5, one being the most efficient and 5 as the last one will help me a lot in completing the research I'm writing.

- forum posting
- article marketing
- link exchanges
- social networks (MySpace, FaceBook, etc.)
- having a blog with link to your site and leaving comments on other blogs

If you are talking about link at signature, then in max of the forum signature links are no followed. If you are talking about live links in the post, don't think that will be allowed.
If you doing forum posting only to increase back links, I think that will look spamming.


Yes this will work.

Some people will say that it is useless, no it is still important may be the value is less. But still I think it is a good way of link building for a new site.

If you just create a profile in these social networking site, that is not enough to market your product. There are many other activities to make a profile successful.

Having a blog with a link to your site will helpful to crawl your site.
But honestly speaking, leaving comments on other blogs is looking spammy to me atleast.


Don't try to rate these activities.Select the off page optimization tactics that suits your site.Combine those and name it as "Link Building Techniques" and finally give your full attention to that.

I agree on this. Some people create only their account and leave some links. It's not effective if you only leave it alone. Some people also claims that they are successful in this technique, maybe they did better.

Blog comment links are generally with nofollow attribute, so it can give you some visitors (how much they will give is doubtful to me).You are not going to get any benefits for improvements in SERP.

3. Social Networking (But you need to complete the whole, not just create a profile and leave it)

4. Social Bookmarking

5. Link Baiting (Through excellent and unique content,widgets,ebooks,downloadable soft wares and many more)

6. Directory Submission (Both theme related and general)

You can search in the Google, you will get many more ideas. Most important factor is selection of techniques that is suitable for your site. All techniques may not be suitable for your site, so concentrate on facts that will work for you.

link baiting is like a anchor text analysis i think Just unique content with link..

As I said in my earlier post that we should complete the whole process of marketing through social networking sites. Some people just create a profile and leave it.Please don't expect any type of return from these profile.

so i asked to u only before posting or create profile on those sites..

You should check and then post, because the comment you made is 500% wrong. If you search with "social media site" in google you may found one page of wikipedia about "Social Media".

Wikipedia is the biggest free-content encyclopedia on the Internet.
