First... none of these are "free" there is a cost, even if it is your time. Once you get bigger than a one man band these have a very real cost. Think "scale" from the start for best results.

The only one that I feel has any value is "social networks". The rest are generally low quality efforts that don't scale in my opinion. We spend zero time on them.

2- article marketing - If it is unique and informative
5- link exchanges - If I had time to utterly waste
1- social networks (MySpace, FaceBook, etc.) - A little more broad than this and needs to include social bookmarks
4- having a blog with link to your site and leaving comments on other blogs - If the links are variable anchor text and nofollows are not present

All of these should be checked that there isn't a nofollow present.
