    The Perfect SEO Optimized Page

    Hi

Just saw a nice infographic produced by Neil Patel on how to produce the perfect optimised page.

One of the points mentioned was linking out to authority sites like wikipedia or in our case maybe a high authority site in the travel niche.

Should we nofollow these links or is it ok not too seeing they have high authority.

    Many Thanks

    Dan

The original quote is somewhat bogus.

Either nofollow or dofollow from High Authority website, worth a lot. And anyhow as for diversification website must have both dofollow and nofollow backlinks.

The original question here relates to posting outbound links on YOUR OWN site and whether these should be dofollow or nofollow. I think that if you are posting a relevant link to a useful and authoritative website that you want to share with your readers for a good reason, then it would be sensible to make it dofollow (or...give credit where credit is due). With PR supposedly on the way out, does the above seem reasonable? Isn't Google more interested in whether the page has really useful content and value (possibly provided partly by links to other great resources) than in whether the links are do- or nofollow?

The premise is flawed - "The Perfect SEO Optimized Page"

Perfect implies nothing more needs to be done to add value. The game stops when the players leave the table. If you're not constantly evolving, then chances of survival begin to diminish.

I've been away from the technical aspect of "SEO" for a while... but if you plan to link to a page of content for good reason, then you shouldn't have to "justify" the link with a "follow" vs. "nofollow" - just link and let it be.
