Page Rank Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I NEED SOME HELP FOR MY CLASS...
I am enrolled in a website development/promotion class. I have a case study scenario if anyone can help me with it.

This is the scenario:
Company has 53 backwards Google links and 721 overall links with a PR of 4+. google PR is currently 5+. My objective will
be to increase our google PAGE RANK to at least 6 through agressive linking campaign to relevant sites with a PR of 5 or higher. how many links do i need to accomplish this objective as well as any other seo strategies.

thanks so much, i need to pass this course..i checked how to use the algorithm but i am stuck..and my textbook is not helping me..

hello
i'm taking a class in vancouver, bc, canada, the textbook is my teachers own textbook that he produced. Which gives me no help at all..its frustrating

Ignore the post from zoo. He can often find humor in the way his shoe-laces are tied. This is a question that you probably can't get a hard and fast answer to. Your current PR of 5 might be a very low 5 or it might be a very high 5 or anywhere in between. If it is a 5.9999 for example, one little PR6 link could send it over the top. If it is a 5.012 then it could take quite a few more links to make the jump. Just no way to really tell, sorry.

thanks for the response. So depending on if the PR rank is high or low that will
basically let me know what i need. I was just worried because the question said I had 721 overall links. But i guess the more links with the higher PR will help the situation out. thanks again!!

I would call it "mooching".... i've seen almost exact posts in other forums. Post your assignment in a bunch of forums and then collect the results.

You will learn more by reading the tutorials. That way you will gain some knowledge that you can use to stand on your own. Invest in yourself.

i have read the discussion regarding increasing links etc to increase the PR of my site.. currently my google PR is at 5..i have 721 overall links and 53 backwards links....with PR of 4....i need to increase the PR rank to 6. Obviously I have to reach out to relevant sites with PR of 4...but does any one know how many links would I need..or any other strategies I can use..much help would be appreciate or a redirection to information would be super.!!

I find SEO techniques to be more of a black-art rather than something that could be legitimately taught in a classroom. This is because most SEO techniques are frowned upon, such as rapid link-exchanging, and in my opinion, will not as effective in the future as they may be today. We have already seen the shift from PR7 pages with 3000 backlinks getting #1. Now the #1 spots in some cases are gobbled up by the new kings of the thrones, PR 4 pages with quality 2 backlinks and minimal SEO.

It's a crazy world we live in. Google has the power to make a portion of the population millionarries, and the rest applying for a second mortgage.

thanks for all your help..its not a local university, you have to understand we have a million different types of course/pvt colleges/etc. up here in vancouver...and no there is no link for the course homepage..
my professor thinks its important..i'm not trying to cheat..its gaining knowledge from people..this case study isn't for marks..and i'm not a mooch i'm trying to learn...and thanks for your article !! it helped.!!all you guys are super smart!!
