page location and rewriting on apache

page location and rewriting on apache

I am wondering about a few things.

Does where the page resides on our server hurt our serach engine ratings.
What i mean is does this url

/store/cat45--Midi_Cable

do the same as

/cat45--Midi_Cable

yes the urls are be rewriten by apache. What i really want to konw is does a search enging care if it's in /store/ or if it's in the root of the website.
