Page Compression & Search Engines

The problem is my many of my pages are over the 100K limit for Goggle and I have done everything I can to get them under 100K put many are still over.

I found a compression program that will jam all the code together and lower my page size below the 100K limit BUT will the search engines see this compressed code as a bad thing and hurt my rankings?

What exactly do you consider compressing code?

Taking out bloated pieces of HTML and making it cleaner is one thing. Having a general problem of "not" being able to get under 100k leads me to believe you have one massive informative page(s) with alot of text.

To use all of your 100k+ per page bountiful information better, why not spread it out across multiple pages?

This can help visitors manage this much information and also let spiders crawl more pages.

There is no way to spread it around due to the amount of code needed to make the page work. Here is an example

You could adjust the code to read by increments of 10, and a click here for more listings.

The page you pasted, the html for that is only 55k.

I really dont want to change the format of the site. My question: Is this a problem for the search engines to read? or do they just read the code and it does not matter if it is compressed or not????

Ok dont change the layout, this still doesn't answer the question of what you consider compressed code.

If you mean taking all the structure out of the code and smashing it all together.. no it makes no difference except one is alot harder for you to work with =)
