Optimizing For YAHOO!

Hello All,

Any special tips for optimizing for Yahoo?

I figure using many of the same principles as one would use to optimize a site for Google and Inkotmi would work the same for Yahoo.

Am I correct in thinking this?

Thanks!

Umm.

Well...

Yahoo currently uses Google's organic results and is expected to use Inktomi's organic results in the future.

So Yes to:

OK

so does this mean when Yahoo ditched Google entirely if you optimise properly for Inktomi, you will get listed on both Inktomi and Yahoo?

Yahoo is a web directory. Google and Inktomi are search engines.

Hmm. I covered this in an other article at: Fundamental Differences Between Search Engines And Web Directories.

hope that helps.

HEY RUSTY.

I read that article...but it does not clearly say what one would need to do differently to get optimised for Yahoo when they drop Google.

Im assuming from my knowledge and everything I have read that if you optimise for Inktomi, when Yahoo drops Google, my site should be ok? So if I pay to get listed with Inktomi and also optimise the site properly for inktomi, I should find my site listed on Yahoo's results when they introduce their new SE, thus dropping Google..

SOund about right?

critter, if you do well in Google, you will do just as well in Yahoo today.

if you do well in Inktomi, you will do just as well in Yahoo tomorrow (that is if they actually use Inktomi in the future, which tends to be the what almost everyone is saying).

Ok?
