Optimization in .org
Optimizing the site having a domain .org or .net, will this affect the rankings?
Please advise. |

The general consensus seems to be that the extension has no impact on SEO, from what I've read. The impact has more to do with surfers being more used to .com, so if they type in a name that's what they'll go for. Search engines don't care.

The only effects I've heard of are country-specific. E.G. .uk domains being given a boost in UK-specific searches.
Can anyone confirm this? - Mike T. |

Yahoo and google have IP routering if your register a domain like .CO.IL/Co.UK/.DE/.No
you can forget of getting US traffic, Now .COM Google Regonize it as a commercial site .ORG should be orginization . So now think of the keywords you want users to write "Buy X " i would not put it as a .ORG but if it was "Donate X" i would. Anyways all and all it does not make such a diffence just make sure you get the right inbound likes and choose the right keyword and density...
