    Opinions on Google Algo Change?

So, Like all I have read quite abit about the recent changes in Google.

What are everyone's current impressions of this drastic change in Google?

IMHO, I believe this has to do with your backlink strategy, and the age and freshness of these backlinks. I am seeing alot of sites very high in the rankings that had a drastic increase to their GOOGLE BACKLINK count this past update, whereis anyone with old, out of date BL's has dropped from the engines.

    Does anyone else see this?

    Cheers

lol, kills me to say it, but the only opinions that matter are the "masses" of users. We'll know soon enough.

You mean the more recent your backlinks the better your SERPs?

I had a huge increase in BL's(8 to 51) and I have alot better in the SERPS. If they go too weighing freshier links providing better results it will lead too an increase of link farms in my opinion. It's kinda a two-edged sword because atleast in my category there are some players that have old links that I cannot get access too and it would help me more if they went too an algo like this. But in general I think it might harm more than do good. What do others think?

I definitly dont believe new links should be premiumed. Sure giving a high value to old links makes it hard to compete with older sites but giving newer links higher value would make it to easy to manipulate results.

    Just my 2 cents

Don't change anything on your site, go get 5 links pointing to it using your desired anchor text, and see how soon google changes your results position... Quickly

I did this and am waiting....We shall see if the 4-5 new BL's I acquired make any sort of difference.
