Newbie question: Should I optimise my front page?
Should I bother with optimising a front page of a website?
You have a front page with links and keywords
This does a good job and gets you ranked on the first page (for arguments sake, let's assume this is true)
But, you need to change the front page - since you want your audience to keep coming back
So once you change, all of this good work done on the front page is lost???
Should the rule be: don't get links to the front page or even have content there!?
Or am I missing something (because I'm a newbie!)?
Thanks
OM

You mean Home page?
I try and optimize every page. Especially the home page.
You have a front page with links and keywords
That should be on every page along with content.

Your home page is the face of your site, so it is necessary to optimize it and think over the design.
