New Site and HTML Templates

I'm starting a new site over the upcoming weeks.

Does anyone have any suggestions for html templates
that I could purchase that are seo friendly?

Ii wouldn't purchase any html templates. html is easy, so you can make all seo by yourself. The simpler html the more SE friendly.
I would just stick with simple tables.

Are you planning to design the site in html only? If its only HTML I guess it would be easy for you to fall under w3 compliance.

As long as the templates arent image layden, you should be fine, but I agree there are plenty of free HTML basses out there to start from.
