"New" SEO Site-Augmentation Package
The "Freebie" package--yes, free--which tacks a specialty (based on your site's theme) Amazon bookshop onto any site, and incidentally thus adds many thousands of 100% legitimate, relevant pages to that site, now has a variant cousin which does not (as the original does) rely on an .htaccess file and redirection. (Hence the quotation marks around "new"--it is a new variant of an established package.)
This variant will have page URLs that are dynamic, but, as they are only one variable deep, that should not affect anything SEO-wise. This now makes it possible for those who cannot, or prefer not, to use an .htaccess file to make use of the package.
In fairness, it is nominally a beta yet, because it has not been tested on an IIS-powered server. It does, though, work a treat on Apache, and--in principle--"PHP is PHP".
But since, as we know, Unca Billy habitually throws monkey wrenches of non-conformity into every product, it remains "beta" till I get some feedback from IIS users. But its cousin is in use around the world right now. It isa modest one-time setup requiring no on-going maintenance.
It can be found on the seo-toys.com site.
