Need Rankings USA location - SEO Tips please

    Hi Guys,

We have been trying to rank in USA target location since 8 months. The impressions in search engine has increased but the Avg. position remains the same. I know we need to work on the Off-page activity with the relevant USA websites.

Can anyone share best SEO tips to be followed to perform better in USA location.

My website is based on Mobile and Web App Development services.

    Thanks & regards
    Shanu

    Hi Shanukumar05
Blog Commenting and Social Bookmarking are not the recommended techniques for link building and these have bee targetted by Google anti-spam detection. And these techniques are ineffective these days. But there is also one thing if you comment on the right post at the right time then it will help you to build the links and generating the traffic to your website but 99% blog comments are no-follow and remaining one 1% that have to value are highly moderated and chances are less to surviving your comment.
Blog commenting is good when you want to share your experience, put a question.

The best SEO tips are first to do On-Page SEO and then go further for Off-Page and spend your time to write blog post relevant to your website and do article submission and guest posting as well but do not copy the content or re-write the content. Write the content which is useful for users and write it for users, not search engines.
    Hope this will help you

    Hi ODI,

    Thanks for your reply.

I have been implementing new content on the website blog on weekly basis. On-page of the website is done with targeted keyword inclusions. Other than Blog commenting and Social bookmarking what else we can do for better backlinks. Any further activities than the mentioned above.

    Thanks

    Hi Shanu,
Do you have the basic location info in place for Google? Eg:

Does the business have a legitimate business address in the USA location you are targeting?

Have you defined the USA as your target search market with your Google Console/Webmaster Tools?

Is your target location used on all your web pages?

Is your business name, address and phone number consistent across major web bodies. Eg:

    • Facebook
    • LinkedIn
    • Twitter
    • Yellow Pages
    • Other major location reference sites

Have you switched off your own browser location tracking function when checking rankings?

    Have you read this?

Yes, We have the USA location verified in Google business places

    Yes, It has been done.

Is your target location used on all your web pages?
You mean in the content or the address info on every page. For now we have the location addresses on the Homepage only.

Is your business name, address and phone number consistent across major web bodies. Eg:
I have to check with same. If we have 2 location targeting and we don't have options to place 2 address in one SMO profile page then should we create a separate page with other targeted location?

    • Facebook
    • LinkedIn
    • Twitter
    • Yellow Pages
    • Other major location reference sites

Have you switched off your own browser location tracking function when checking rankings?
We always do check ranking in incognito mode of the Chrome or take help of tools sometimes. Keeping the search engine advanced settings to Region United States.

    Hi Shanu,

So, you are targeting two locations not one?
Do you have legit addresses and phone numbers at each one?
Are you targeting greater city name searches or the suburbs where your client is located?

If you can pass the Google guidelines, I'd add a second My Business account.

My impression is that G is doing a lot of experimenting with this area of location searches. There have been decades long wars with spammers in both My Business and with all manner of generic suburb/city search tactics.

So from here, it is largely opinion based, not fact.

I think G has been pausing full indexing acceptance of new domains in the search spaces where G's location algorithm kicks in. Your ranking delay in this regard may be temporary.

I'd give the tactics addressed in this article a go:

How to Dominate Google Rankings in Multiple Locations

I know that sometimes you can get sites to rank with low quality, near duplicate pages targeting different suburb names. I recommend avoiding this simplistic tactic like the plague.

It's a very frustrating SE spam tactic but those who practice it seem to be regularly knocked out by G's manual spam team. I've seen sites who were hit try rebuilding to get out of the problem. Then give up and republish on a new domain name.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Shanu
    1. Create Local Business Profile For Business
    2. Optimize that Profile Regularly
    3. Local Citation site Submission
    4. Submit in Local Submission Sites (Directory Submission, Social Book marking Sites, Articles, Blog commenting and etc)
    5. Use Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Linedin, Instagram and Google+ etc)
    6. Use Local classified Sites

    Shanu,

Is there a specific location you want to get? I have been doing SEO for quite a few companies in the USA and it was a bit challenging. But, then I focused more on the local reach, like for example Doral in Miami. By doing this, I was able to start getting my clients to rank and then I created content and links for other specific locations. The results where pretty good.

If you want you can share your website with me, I will take a look at it and try to guide you.

There are many factors play role in keyword ranking. If you have included high search volume keywords in your meta title & description or you have not proper keyword density in your web pageís content etc. You need to check your competitorís backlinks. You have to get more backlinks from high authority sites.
