Exclamation Need general SEO stats for a business plan

I was wondering if anyone had any sources for general search engine date and the importance of seo (case studies?) I am submitting a business plan so i need some solid proof of the importance of SEO.

For example people toss around 95% of people never click the second page, where is the actual date from? Or the impact of Google.

ANY info is greatly appreciated,

THANKS!

you just have to do lots of research on this one...you can't really find those things in one place.

Google organic ctr stats.

For the importance of SEO, I'd try to find some stats that show how much traffic a site was getting from search engines before haveing been SEO'd and then after.

Bear in mind though, that what matters more than traffic numbers is the behavior of that traffic on-site and whether or not it actually converts to cash. Targeted traffic from multiple sources is everything, position on Google doesn't really matter a damn.

SEO Stats

OrenB,

my own experience that 88% of traffic is generated by the first page.

People such as Enquiro have done research into this area. There's also the famous case when AOL released user data by mistake.

I suggest you search for these via Google.
