. a National Institute of Science Media has a release they want google topped SEO

. a National Institute of Science Media / Joel Ball has asked me to place a press release online for their San Diego biotech book holiday buying season. I understand SEO Chat has the most powerful forum (#1), so Im at the right forum. Does placing spaces, as I did, or . or "a" make google rank it higher on their search? What are somethings I can do to get this release shot to the top of a google search ASAP for the holiday book buying season?

    No a dot/space won't help... (they aren't listed alphabetically)!

The best way to guarantee being at the top of the serps at a specific point in time is to pay via Google Adwords...

Otherwise try to get it accepted/listed on some of the major news sites and holiday sites.
