    Is Moz now obsolete?

So my main tools that I use for seo are AHrefs and Moz. I mainly used AHrefs for link data, keyword data etc and then moz for the site crawl feature. But now AHrefs has an amazing new site crawl feature that I think is better than Moz. So does Moz actaully have any purpose anymore? I feel that Ahrefs does everything that Moz does and more.

I don't think Moz has anything to offer other than their beginner's guide. Some of their articles are also useful, but their tools have always been overpriced and aren't all that great in my opinion.

I use Ahrefs, and think SEMRush's site audit tool is the best. Moz is great for SEO tips and beginner guides. I'm also an avid follower of Rand's Whiteboard Fridays.

Were Moz tools ever better (or cheaper) than others? For me they have always been an option between others.

I like Moz, I'm no trying to bring them down and I do think they are a great data provider and I like both whiteboard fridays, mozcast and the blog in general.

But what does Moz offers that others don't at a better price. (maybe MozLocal but I never tried it as most of my clients are outside the US). For the rest they had a great move years ago when they created their DA and PA but these metrics are internal to Moz and not related to google.

By the way I don't use ahrefs either.

I agree, their data and information for beginners are good.

I do think they live off their domain authority metric though, especially in the blackhat world. It's virtually the currency of SEO.

It's a shame really, they have the resources to make awesome tools. I've never known an actual professional in the business use Moz; you'd have thought they'd have made a tool to compete with Ahrefs, or SEO powersuite for example.

I'd love to have a full membership of Ahrefs, purely for their link index. I don't think any other company competes with how aggressively they crawl the web. Saying that, their pricing is very expensive and only suitable for agencies imo
