Mobile SEO
I have a website where i am using responsive design for mobile. My site's home page for the non-mobile ranks well. In my mobile css i'm thinking of not displaying a portion of the home page content for designs sake. Will this effect my website's ranking on non-mobile devices?

I don't think so, it will do any effect on your site SEO. But be active always. Because large number of website doing there seo. If you stop, so sure you get back in ranking.

I think, if you have same content in both for mobile and nob mobile than it OK and it will not affect SEO. But if you change then it could be affect you site. Because at this situation your data changed. But if you change only design then it'll not effect your site.
