i prefer only meta description and meta keywords. sometimes, i even avoid using meta keywords.
IMO use only title and meta description so that you can keep the size of the page at its minimum to ensure faster download.

i have never seen an instance where the meta kws has had any bearing on search engines. i use it, but for a different reason.
