    Link Building Help

    Hi all,

I've been doing SEO for sometime but until recently it's never been my primary focus.

I've just started doing SEO for a new site. In the last 5 weeks, I've been building good authority links either with out reach, guest posts or simply asking and finding opportunities such as their suppliers etc.

I can see the links, in the code they are follow links but when using SEOMOz or MajesticSEO none of these links show. Also, the rankings have stayed the same.

I've never seen this before. Any ideas?

    Thanks

Anything showing up in google webmaster tools?.

opensiteexplorer is only updated once a month (I think)

No idea about majestic.. but neither are google so they aren't important.

It's only been 5 weeks, I wouldn't expect to see much ranking yet if I were you.. if you are in fact building quality links then rankings will come in time.

Well the thing is you have to use any one site explorer. I am using google webmaster tool. I haven't seen such problem in google webmaster tool. May be SEOMOz or MajesticSEO's algorithm is not that much powerful to understand the links between code.

Anyways I hope that using google webmaster tool might be helpful for you.

SEOMOz or MajesticSEO have their own algorithm in searching links. Authoritative sites like wikipedia could help you very well putting links on sites that are high value to every common users could help you boost up. Remember that links are the highway of the search engines.
