Legit M.D. Penile Enlargement Site - How should I optimize?

I am just getting my feet wet into SEO and have been asked to do a web site for a highly respected Medical Doctor who specializes in various penile procedures, such as erectile disfunctions, penile deformities, enlargement, etc. Is there any special things I should be doing or aware of on such a "touchy" subject? I sure do not want the site to be perceived as porn or any other type of freakish category? Please advise.

Good luck -- you will certainly need it in that industry. If the site is legit, then design it as such and you'll be able to get recognition from other medical sites (so long as you don't send "penile enlargement" as the subject heading for a link exchange e-mail.

I would certainly keep away from too many ads on the site if I were you. Furthermore I would SEO for the main terms (probably: penile/penis enlargement) but keep the home page general, with emphasis on the medical facilty and not on the service provided. Just to make sure.

There are probably medical related directories you could get listed in as well. <insert your own joke here> Try doing a google search on related industries to get ideas for your link partners.

Look at what the top 5-10 folks are doing and follow their lead...as long as they aren't spammy and at risk of getting blacklisted in the engines.
