For a keyword, how many entries will be there at SERP?

When searching with a particular keyword, my site will be displayed in, say, 2nd page. When clicking on it, most probably it will land on my home page.

    My doubt is,

When searching with a keyword, will SEs list my site only once?

If two of my pages contain that keyword, will my second page listed atleast some where behind?

    Yes, for example -
Search for "flex 2.0 development" in Google and see the first 2 positions, acquire by two different pages of adobe.com.

    Thanks for your reply.

Can I conclude that if at all my site listed more than once, it will listed one after other sequence. I mean, if it is listed in 5th position, the other (second,...) entry will be 6,7,...

no need to look around at 20, 100, etc

    Am i right?

No, there could be several pages in between -- it all depends on the relevance of each.

I know i've seen Yahoo have multiple listing for one site and it could be back to back or #2 and #15 and #17. There was no rhyme or reason for it. Google usually links relevant pages of your site back to back (the 2nd listing being indented) but I have found a few pages that were spread out. I have seen one of our listings where the more relevant page was first and the 2nd page was the homepage on Google.

Jagnet still answered it best so based on what i've seen, I have to agree.
