keyword density

I have heard that keyword density should be between 2% and 8%. So now the question is how do you determin the density if you have a large text area? Will this not incease the % of keywords (in the SE eyes)and possibly fall into keyword spamming? Is there a basis equal to that of a number instead of a % towards key words in the page content ??? Oh one more thing. Do keywords become effected by being plural or singular? Can I use a plural word that will also be picked up in a seach for the singular versin of that word?

Mauri.

I was writing that message at the same time you sent yours and did not see it untill I was finished. There is no need for the digs as these little mix up's do happen from time to time. I appreciate the info you gave me and I am sure I will find it usefull.

mauri, what don't you understand? "???"

you and maximus each wrote your message around the same time, and maximus didn't see your advice to read an old thread before he asked his second question.

then you chastised him for not reading and just asking questions.

I know I probably shouldn't get involved but I just want to say that maybe on this forum, we should try to refrain from putting others down. It really could make this great resource sour quickly.

Yes and No. The internet is the new medium, #4 and is not going away. A lot of people, and I am reassured of this daily use the web to look up information.

The key topic should be "how" to write for the internet so that people can find your website, properly under the keywords you would like. That is the challenge.
Organic SEO, (Search Engine Optimization) is the gold ticket that most importantly involves content writing in a specific way. Not many writers can include a specific word in a 500 word article 2-8 times and make it sound- like it has not been packed.

I recently had 11 writers creating articles in Detroit, full time using this method for over 4 months to satisfy 2,500 articles about Pets- each article geared at specific keywords.

So yes, creative professional writing on the web is very important- for the quality of your finished product= your website= revenue, return visits, etc.
