Is there a simple breakdown of how SEO works on forums ANYWHERE?
I have searched/read/looked for 2 straight weeks now, and yes ive come across many informative sites (thankfully this one!), but havent seen where it's broken down in simple terms.
Basically something that spells out how you need to word what to gain more SEO.
ie.) My site is called The Sack Shack. It's a college football forum offering very unique content.
I changed my Title from "The Sack Shack - Powered by vBulletin" to "College Football Chat Forum and Message Board - The Sack Shack".
My sub-categories are named to catch as MANY search phrases as possible, example for the atlantic coast conference:
Name of Forum & Link: "Atlantic Coast Conference Chat Forum"
Description under it: "ACC Football Message Board Talk"
I did that to cover someone searching ACC, Atlantic Coast Conference, Chat, Forum, Message Board or Talk.
I also have myself and friends posting in each forum, as well as putting team reports in EVERY page to place more content in the site.
Is there somewhere or something that breaks down forum SEO in simple terms for someone new to understand? Or am I already headed in the right direction?
