I have serious problems...for each and every search engine we have to type the targeted keywords and find out weather our site is index or not and if it is index then at which position....there are lots of tools are available on the net which will tell you the rank position of your site when you enter the targeted keywords...but is it possible to find out the key words for which our site are indexing in search engine results and at what places......e.g. tools require the domain name only....and shows that domain name with rank position as well as with key words list....like : I will enter in the domain name text box : www.tatvasoft.com then it will give me the keywords list and also rank position for those key words in search engine......
My First Question: Is it possible? If yes then please provide me the tools and suggestions......any help......... |

There are no such tools that I am aware of. Such a tool would have to employ a brute force searching technique for every word and word combination for both words found on the page in question and for words found in the anchor text of inbound links. It would be a monstrous effort with a lot of server load on the search engine you target.
I would suggest that you monitor your server logs to see what search terms people are using for all search engine referrals. That will tell you where people are finding you. What good is being #1 for a term that no one searches?

As Bernard has mentioned this would be impossible at this time. Basically the tool would have to do a search on every single word from Aardvark to Zebra not to mention the billions of combinations of words and phrases, plus proper names.
If a tool was developed, it would probably take many months if not years of compiling and be an enourmous drain. My follow up question, would be Why would you need this tool except for amusement? You should know which keywords would bring you visits and conversions and only care about those. If someone happens to find you via a way you hadn't thought of, it will be in your logs like Bernard mentioned. Then you can start the research over again on that keyword. |

Thank You Jasontnyc and Bernard......Thank you for taking time to understand my problems and appropriate helpful suggestions also. So from your suggestion...now I can understand that it is not possible at all.....ok....so it is only possible from logs....so again...is there any tools who can analyse the web log and give the suggested keywords results.....

No log analyzer will tell you WHERE you rank for each term (that I know of anyway). Instead, it will list the most popular keywords people found you by. What you can do is then take that list and plug it into Digital Points Keyword Ranking Tool. As far as log analyzers go, to get a more precise recomendation you would need to outline all of your needs and your budget. There are a ton of different ones. I use www.sawmill.net but that is just a personal preference because of my needs. You will have to establish that yourself. |
