hi
theres one interesting pattern i found in yahoo mostly that searching from different loacations give different results. to make my point more clear eg if in US i type real estate i will be gettin results that are more local ie of US and if i type same search phrase from UK i will be getting diff results that from US and much more UK oriented. can u explain why it is so. is it beacuase of IP dependece of the results. |

Yes, Ankush.
Search engines, like your web logs, know where an IP address is geographically and can serve more geographically relevant results by using it. It's been around for some time - not that in the UK, google.com resolves to google.co.uk. |
