How to determine competitor traffic?

This one may already be in here, but for the life of me, I can't find it.

Is there any tool available that I can provide it a domain name and it tell me how much traffic that domain is getting? Better yet page views and which pages.

Thanks

I don't know of a way. I do know the alexa toolbar, which is the closest thing to this is dramatically bogus. If there is something I'd love to find out also.

z - you could try calling up the host company for the site and asking about traffic levels. Tell them you're in advertising and you don't know their username and password, but just want to know how many unique visitors the site got so you can get a report to your boss.

Of course, that would be totally illegal and I would never recommend doing it. Besides which, host companies are very strict about security and would never give out information like that.

By the way, this post contains no sugar, preservatives, artificial colors, flavors or sarcasm...

There isn't a way to tell how much traffic a particular site recieves. The only way to tell would be to review the server logs or tracking software.

The majority of the hosting, marketing and SEO companies that I am fimiliar with post their clients traffic reports online.

Some of the companies just attach the results to the actual domain (website). Some don't know how to make it password secure, others want the competition to see it. Try searching Google for the domain name, then the company name. If you get lucky you might be able to find a copy of the tracking report.

However, chances are that you won't find what you are looking for.
