You need to apply same procedure like we apply to increase a rank for website. suppose i have an institute of training, i simply use a keyword that "training center in Pune". its depends on you how many times you use this keyword.

    Hi Wjack3047,
Sorry if I confused you, my comments were intended to follow on from all the advice above.

Google needs an address for your business if it is to deliver your pages in location sensitive SERPs.

Google tells you the ways it identifies your business address here...

Google My Business Help: How Google uses business information

My comments were intended to be strategic suggestions for para 2 from the above Google Help page:

"Your website: Information from your businessís official website."

What will also impact on location search results are:

    • Does the searcher have location tracking switched "on" or "off".
    • The level of competition for the basic search term.

Eg. It's generally easier to rank higher for "ship builders" (+location) than for "plumbers" (+location) simply because the volume of "plumber" competition is so much higher.

BTW, with the advent of RankBrain, it is possibly introducing search interpretation factors not evident from the search query words.

Eg. It may skew results to retail outlets, online shopping, quotation sites, review sites or vertical business directories.

You may want to view G's "Searches related to ...." footer results and consider what search query interpretation may be occurring.

I expect to see many G. location related algo changes being implemented at different times across the various country search domains. With the mobile search index also close, I expect more SERP location volatility than we have ever seen before.

Google allows you to tick a box that tells them you serve clients at their location, so you don't have to add an address to seen in location sensitive results pages

    Hi KP,
Your link is to a Google My Business support page.

I thought and it looks like everyone else thinks this query is about the poster's website, not a My Business listing.

Want to stop your "facepalms" until we confirm the poster's intent?

There is no way how to do it without using the location as a keyword. Only option is using Google My Business.

The local listing, business listing, you site map on google map, other off page techniques and if you don't mention the location in your keyword then mention it in your content somewhere. That is helped to rank your keywords.

How can you rank for a specific location without mentioning it in your keyword? If you don't add the location in your keyword, how can Google knows about your service location? In this situation, how can Google offer you high rank while someone searches from your targeted location? It's like you give an advertisement in Newspaper that you are offering for e.g fashion clothing, but you didn't mention your location (where is your shop). And, now after the advertisement gets published, you are waiting for the customers to come to your shop (at your location). Is it possible? I think not at all. You must need to write your location in the advertisement.

Great response indeed. I would like to know how do you go about adding Schema if you're using Wordpress. Do you get a plugin or do you add code from settings or something?
