How are leads in San Francisco Bay Area? Is is like fly infested cottage -- fly to flypaper or fishing in a barrel that has no water?

I didn't? Whoops.

I'd say Adwords experts are even more popular than organic specialists and they most offen get offered the really big money in the San Francisco Bay Area... or at least there are more job offers for them. (Maybe because the job is sooooooo boring <imho> there is a lot of turn over?)

The UK in general is growing in awareness but most of the people I meet think seo is a pop band

There are a few over-aggressive tele-marketing and email spam merchants who have done much to harm the market and nothing to help it because they have no clue about seo and pepetuate all the old rubbish - eg: "We'll submit your site to over 50,000 search engines a day and get you hundreds of top 10 rankings in a month, or your money back"

Small town in Michigan.
I was subcontracting for another web developer in my hometown. They wanted me to become a partner. I declined. The next month, they were advertising SEO for $40 a month.

Even web developers in my area do not know what SEO is and the work it requires.

I'm from Philippines and most Web developers/designers discuss about it and I also wonder what is it all about and I am happy that through this forum I learn SEO bit by bit.
