    How to optimize partly duplicate content website

    `Hi ppl,

    I am new here but saw some interesting posts here so i thought i might ask for some advice here.

    We have a company directory which combines openinghours, social media info and a piece of duplicate content into a single page. The page, i think, is not unique enough to rank well.

    We have had our google honeymoon and traffic was increasing to more than a thousands visits a day, under 3 weeks of online time. Now it dropped back to merely 200 a day.

    Is there a way to rank well just with onpage seo, even with duplicate content?

    Examples of pages ( bedrijveng1ds.nl );

    Cannot post example urls???

    well not the white hat way. For an effective SEO campaign you need both on and off page optimization and BTW duplicate content is a big no no....

    ok thanks... i will first update the linkjuice to this site and "mangle" up the descriptions.... see what happens.... if no result i will turn to NLP... basically what we do is content syndication, we do not copy whole articles, just create snippets.... should i do canonical for this and can i canonical to the domain ( is that sufficient ) or should i canonical to the article/content itself?
