Question How much of a site should a person strive to be indexed?

Hi, I am working on the url structure of my site and I was wondering how much of a site should be indexed? For example my site will contain product listings and filter by values like brand and price range, etc... Should I try to let Google and other bots index different product listing pages and filter by values?

e.g
1. http://somesite/category/subcategory/
2. http://somesite/category/subcategory/2
3. http://somesite/category/subcategory/brand/1
4. http://somesite/category/subcategory/brand/price/
5. http://somesite/category/subcategory/brand/price/10

Where should I draw the line? Should I just focus on the first url being indexed and put no-follow links on the rest of them? Does it make any difference in traffic or ranking if I had all of those urls indexed? Thanks!

You can choose URL upto any level,

There is no any guidelines mentioned about this,

as much as your URL will be exact about the page content your visitor feel happy to surf your website.

the chances that your site will get a visitor will be higher if you happen to index those links you want to get index.

Consider this.

Ideally you should get all pages ind ext but if you have high home page traffic and some kind of assess to important pages on the home page you might be able to write less for search engines on the pages you have available via navigational bar or other ways. Because I have high home page traffic some of the pages other than the home page are witting with no or little keyword consideration because I am more likely to get traffic from the home page than any effort to get some of the deep pages ranked.
