How long before a disallowed page stops being indexed?

We noticed recently that Google had indexed a page that we didn't want to be indexed. As a quick fix we added the page to the disallow list on our robots.txt file. I let Google know the file had been updated and it was refreshed in Search Console. My question is how long will it be before the page is no longer indexed? Or do I need to do anything else as well e.g. noindex the page?

It's nofollow and noindex, the different letters make a difference.

I didn't make a reference to nofollow, I'm talking about disallow in a robots file vs noindex as a meta tag.

I'm confused with your comment, I might be too high, but it's 7 to 14 days for google to update.

In my opinion, there is no specific time to index or deindex the webpages by Search Engines. If you are making a request to de-index the particular webpage then it makes take 1 week or longer. Sometimes the request is considered in a short time of period but sometimes it may take too long. It all depends on the frequency and crawl rate that SE crawlers visit your website.

Disavowment is a mere recommendation to Google for not considering specific links on the next crawl and as Google's crawling based on its own priorities, there is no particular time to get the links deindexed. However, it takes more than 48 hrs by Google to register your disavowed file and week or even months until Google takes disavowment into account.

It would depend so the site like how powerful or authority sites is that but even, When we made a file to disallow link so obviously it should stop showing the result on Search pages & it would take up to 15 to 30 days to clean all link those are in disallow file.
