How to Handle Soft 404 on an E-Commerce

    Hello.

I have an e-commerce and I am facing the following situation:

My Category Page for products from the Brand X is empty because every product from this Brand was sold. Now my page is only with its side filters and a small description about the Brand.

On my Search Console, Google is reporting that this page is with a Soft 404 Error.

Reading more about this label I've found that it is just a "Google thing" for a Code Error problem and it can be because my page is empty without products and thin content.

I do not want to redirect this page because it is well ranked for the Brand's name and soon (maybe 1 or 2 months) it will be filled again with a lot of products.

What is the best approach to this situation? Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

That's a difficult situation to be in; are you perhaps able to continue showing the products but include an out of stock message on these items, maybe display a "rain-check" feature?

I can suggest you that in this page you can add a section like "we are also offering related products of Brand X, Like Brand Y and Z" give their link to those pages. then check what is happening.

Unfortunately I do not have access to the source code of the store because it is an agency who customized the platform for us. So they keep everything with them.

The only I thought so far is to create a Landing Page warning that there are no more products from the Brand and them ask on a CTA to check our other products. This would be a 302 redirect and then when the new products arrive I could just deactivate it.

Well, I think that it is a good strategy. Will see if I can implement it. Thanks.
